SPICED PEACHES 
2 (1 lb. 14 oz.) cans cling peach halves
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 c. cider vinegar
4 (3") pieces stick cinnamon
2 tsp. whole cloves

Drain syrup from peaches into a saucepan. Put peaches into a bowl and set aside. Add sugar, vinegar, cinnamon and cloves to syrup. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Pour hot syrup over peaches. Cover and cool. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. This is not a preserve, lasts about one week in refrigerator. 8 servings.
