“BEET IN BLACK & BLUE SMOOTHIE” IS IN:

BEET IN BLACK & BLUE SMOOTHIE 
3/4 cup cooked beets, chopped
1/2 cup purple grape juice or cranberry juice
1 1/2 cups low-fat Greek-style vanilla yogurt
1 cup frozen blackberries
1 cup frozen blueberries

Place ingredients in a blender, and blend until mixture is smooth and ingredients are thoroughly combined. If desired, run through a sieve to get rid of extra bits of skin. Serve in a cold glass.

Makes 2 large or 4 small smoothies.

Variation: If you do not care for the idea of beets in a smoothie, simply make it just a "black & blue" smoothie by omitting the beets, and adding a half a cup of each berries instead.
