GROUND BEEF STROGANOFF 
1 sm. can mushrooms, stems and pieces
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. shortening
2 tbsp. flour
Hot buttered noodles
1 tsp. salt
1 c. water
1/3 c. Heinz 57 sauce
1/2 c. sour cream (may use Miracle Whip salad dressing)

Drain mushrooms, reserving liquid. Brown beef, mushrooms and onions in shortening. Stir in flour and salt. Add mushroom liquid and water and 57 sauce. Combine and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in sour cream. Serve over the noodles.
