MANHATTAN CLAM CHOWDER | |
1/4 lb. salt pork or diced bacon, fried 1 lg. onion, chopped 2 carrots, thinly sliced 3 ribs celery, sliced 1 tbsp. parsley flakes 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes 1 1/2 tsp. salt 3 med. potatoes, peeled & diced 2 or 3 cans clams with liquid 1 bay leaf 2 whole peppercorns 1 tsp. dried crushed thyme leaves Put all ingredients in crock pot. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours. |
