FRENCH STYLE MASHED POTATOES | |
Approximately 8 med. potatoes 1 lg. onion, sliced 3 cloves garlic, quartered 1 tbsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. marjoram 1/2 tbsp. parsley 1/2 tbsp. chives 4 bay leaves Approximately 1 c. milk, scalded 2 tbsp. butter Quarter peeled potatoes and cover with sufficient amount of water. Add spices, cover and bring to full boil. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are done. Drain, remove bay leaves, puree with scalded milk until smooth. Stir in butter until melted. Serves 4. |
