BANANA BREAD 
1 stick butter, room temperature
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. mashed bananas
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. sour cream
1/2 c. nuts, optional

Cream butter with eggs, vanilla and sugar. Add flour and baking soda. Mix well. Fold in bananas, sour cream and nuts.

Pour into a well-greased loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees until done (about 1 hour). Let sit in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan to cool on wire rack.

Makes 1 loaf.
