BUTTER PECAN DATE COOKIES 
1 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 (8 oz.) pkg. chopped dates
2 eggs

Cream butter and sugar until light. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and blend into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts and dates. Drop from teaspoons on ungreased pan. Bake at 350 degrees approximately 10 minutes. Watch for moisture decrease, will burn easily.
