WASHINGTON APPLE CRISP 
5-6 apples
1/2 c. raisins
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/3 c. butter
Half and half cream

Peel, core and thickly slice the apples. You should have 8 cups. Place apples in a large bowl. Add lemon juice, raisins, 1/2 c. sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well into 9 inch square pan. Combine remaining ingredients, 1/2 cup sugar and flour. Use a pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture is evenly crumbly. Sprinkle over apple. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 45 minutes or until apple are fork tender and top is lightly browned. Serve warm. Pass cream to pour over. Makes 6 servings.
