APPLE CRISP 
6 c. sliced, pared apples, about 6 tart, firm apples
1/2 c. raisins
1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 unbeaten egg
1/3 c. melted, cooled butter
Cream or ice cream (opt.)

Grease a 6"x10" baking dish. Fill with 6 cups sliced, pared apples mixed with 1/2 cup raisins. In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and egg until crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over apple raisin mixture. Pour 1/3 cup melted butter over all.

Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve warm with cream or ice cream. Makes 6 generous servings.
