ONION GRAVY 
Saute chopped onion (to taste) in 4 tablespoons butter. Add 4 tablespoons flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt and a dash of pepper. Let it simmer 1 minute. Add 2 cups of milk, stirring constantly, bring to a boil and boil a few minutes. Remove from heat. It's also very good on mashed potatoes.
