MUSHROOM AND RICE SOUP 
1 cube butter
Flour
Onion and garlic
3 cans sauerkraut juice
3 cans mushrooms
3 cans water (or more, to suit taste)
Salt
Pepper
2 c. cooked rice

Brown butter and enough flour to make a medium white sauce. Add 1/2 small onion and 2 cloves of garlic. Add sauerkraut juice, mushrooms, water, salt, pepper, and rice. Heat through. It will thicken as it stands. Better if made day before!
