HARRY'S COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
2 c. sifted flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

TOPPING:

1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream butter, add sugar gradually, add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Blend in vanilla. Sift flour with baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Spread half the batter in a greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan.

Combine 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle half on batter. Spread remaining batter over top and sprinkle with remaining topping. Bake about 40 minutes, or until cake tester comes out clean when inserted in center. Cool in pan for 15 minutes before turning out.
