BESS'S CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
Salt
5 eggs
1/2 c. cocoa
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar, shortening; add eggs, one at a time. Add flour to cocoa and baking powder; mix alternately with milk. Grease cake pan and flour. Cook at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 50 minutes.

I have used this recipe so many times that the page has turned brown.
