BEST CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 c. sifted cocoa
2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. milk
Dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each egg. Mix dry ingredients together and add alternately with the milk. Begin by adding flour and end by adding flour (add flavoring to milk before mixing with other ingredients). Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until it tests done.
