BUSY DAY CHICKEN A QUICK MEAT
DISH
 
1 c. plain rice
1 chicken, cut in pieces
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 c. water
1 pkg. dry onion soup

Scatter raw rice in bottom of a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Place chicken on top of rice, skin side up. Mix together mushroom soup, water and onion soup. Pour over chicken. Bake. Do not cover. You may substitute pork chops for chicken. You may substitute cream of celery for cream of mushroom. Preparation time: 15 minutes, Baking time: 2 hours at 325 degrees. Servings: 4 to 5.
