LIGHT POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1 box confectioners' sugar
5 egg yolks
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon
5 egg whites

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks. Alternate flour and baking powder with milk. Add vanilla and lemon. Beat well. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in a tube pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done.
