APPLE CHEESE TORTE 
CRUST:

1 c. real butter
2/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour

Mix together and pat into a 9-inch spring form pan; pat up sides of pan, too.

FILLING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg

Beat well, then pour in pan.

TOPPING:

5 to 6 apples, peeled & sliced
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. lemon juice

Put topping over cheese layer and bake in oven at 450 degrees for 10 minute then at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Turn oven off and leave in for 30 to 4 minutes.
