APPLE NUT TORTE 
4 well beaten eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped walnuts
2 c. chopped apples

Add sugar to well beaten eggs. Beat until thick and light. Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Fold into egg mixture. Lightly mix in apples and nuts. Pour into greased 13 x 9 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch pan or large square pan. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 40 to 45 minutes. Serve with cinnamon flavored whipped cream.
