EASY DAY SQUARES 
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. lemon or vanilla
1 c. butter
2 c. flour
1 can cherry or other pie filling

Beat sugar and butter until smooth and creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition. Add flour and continue beating until well blended. Pour onto cookie sheet. Mark off 20 squares and place one spoonful cherry filling on each square. I put light glaze on when they come from oven (optional). Bake at 325 degrees until done.
