HOT CABBAGE CREOLE 
2 slices bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 lg. green pepper, chopped
1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, chopped
1 med. cabbage, chopped
1/3 c. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper and dash of red pepper

Fry bacon in a Dutch oven. Add onion and green peppers; saute until vegetables are tender. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes stirring occasionally. 8 to 10 servings.
