PECAN SANDIES 
2 sticks butter
4 tbsp. sugar
2 c. chopped pecans
2 c. cake flour, unsifted
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix with hands, roll into small balls. (NOTE: dough does not rise during baking.) Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 325 degrees. Roll in powdered sugar when warm; repeat again when cool. Yield: 48 cookies.
