FLORA'S GINGER COOKIES 
2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco solid (not butter)
1 egg
2 tbsp. molasses

Mix together flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, salt and soda. Cream sugar, Crisco solid (not butter) and egg. Add molasses. Blend dry ingredients into creamed mixture. Roll into walnut sized pieces, roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
