3 c. Brazil nuts 2 (7 1/2 oz.) pkgs. dates 1 c. Maraschino cherries, drained (red & green) 3/4 c. flour 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 3 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring In large bowl dump nuts, cherries, dates - whole. Sift flour, baking powder and salt over fruit and mix well (with hands), (until all fruit is coated). Beat eggs, add vanilla and pour over fruit mixture. Stir to mix well. Pour into loaf pan 9 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. Bake 1 hour and 45 minutes at 300 degrees. |
