SCALLOPED OYSTERS | |
1 qt. selected oysters 2 c. oyster (or soda) crackers (crushed), not too fine 1 egg 1/2 c. milk 1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs 3 tbsp. butter Salt & pepper Warm oysters, but do not cook them. Line bottom of baking pan with a layer of oysters, salt, pepper and small pieces of butter. Cover with a layer of crackers. Repeat until all oysters are used, having layer of oysters on top. Beat egg with milk and pour over oysters. Cover with buttered crumbs. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Serve at once. |
