PEGGY'S CHILI 
1 1/2 lbs. ground venison or beef (venison is best)
1 tbsp. minced onion
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. cumin
2 tsp. garlic powder
1 (15 oz.) can Hunt's tomato sauce
1 (8 oz.) can Hunt's tomato sauce
1 (8 oz.) can water
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper (opt.)

Brown ground meat in large saucepan. Drain off grease. Add tomato sauce, water and seasonings. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour. Season to taste. May be thickened with 2 tablespoons flour in 1/2 cup of water. Simmer 15 minutes longer.
