SWEET POTATO AND APPLE CASSEROLE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
2 c. water
1/2 c. butter
Apples
2 (1 lb.) cans sweet potatoes

Combine sugar, cornstarch, water and butter in a saucepan. Add 1 peeled, quartered apple for flavor. Cook until very thick. Fill a 3 quart casserole with peeled, quartered apples and sweet potatoes. When sauce is thick, pour over apples and potatoes. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes in 350 degree oven until lightly browned and apples are tender.
