SWEET POTATO AND APPLE CASSEROLE 
2 (1 lb. 2 oz.) cans sweet potatoes, sliced
1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) can sliced apples
1/4 c. light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/4 c. melted butter
2 tsp. lemon juice

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In 1 1/2 quart casserole, layer sliced potatoes and apple ending with potatoes. Sprinkle each layer with sugar, spice, butter and lemon juice. Bake 20 minutes or until nicely browned. Serves 8.
