CHILI CON CARNE 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
4 c. kidney beans, drained
4 c. tomatoes
1-2 tbsp. chili powder
Flour for thickening (optional)

Brown the ground beef, onions and green peppers in large pot, stirring frequently. Add beans, tomatoes, salt and chili powder. Simmer at least 30 minutes. If mixture is too thin to serve on plates, thicken with flour and water mixture and cook 10 minutes longer. 8 servings.
