RAISIN FILLED COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Flour

RAISIN FILLING:

1 lb. raisins
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. boiling water
2 tbsp. flour

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Add baking powder, baking soda, cream of tartar and enough flour to make a soft dough.

RAISIN FILLING: Chop or grind raisins. Add sugar and boiling water. Add flour. Cook and cool. Fill rolled out cookie dough rounds. Bake at 350 degrees until brown.
