CHILES RELLENOS CASSEROLE 
6-8 slices firm white bread (crusts removed)
Butter
2 c. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
2 c. Jack cheese, shredded
1 can green chiles, seeds removed, minced
6 eggs
2 c. milk
2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. dry mustard

Spread butter on one side of bread. Arrange bread, buttered side down in a 7 1/2 x 11 1/2 inch baking pan. Sprinkle cheddar cheese, then Jack cheese on bread. Distribute chiles over cheese layers.

Beat together eggs, milk, seasonings and pour over cheese. Cover and chill overnight or at least 4 hours. Bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 50 minutes and let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serves 6.
