CHILES RELLENOS CASSEROLE | |
2 (7 oz.) cans whole green chilies, rinsed & seeded 1 1/2 lbs. Monterey Jack cheese, grated 4 eggs, slightly beaten 1/2 c. milk 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1/4 tsp. pepper Line bottom of lightly greased 11 3/4" x 7 1/2" baking dish or casserole with half the chilies. Sprinkle half the grated cheese over chilies; top with remaining chilies and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Combine eggs with milk and seasonings. Pour over chilies and cheese in casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until lightly browned and set. Let cool 5 minutes before cutting into squares. |
