BLACKBERRY JAM CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. blackberry jam
1/2 tsp. salt
1 stick butter
3 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. raisins
1 c. walnuts or pecans

Sift flour and spices together with soda and salt. Break eggs, sugar, and butter together. Add buttermilk and flour mixture. Beat; fold in jam, raisins, and nuts. Bake in tube pan at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cake is done when it springs back at sides.
