LEMON BUTTER COOKIES 
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. powdered sugar
3/4 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. oil
1 tbsp. grated lemon peel
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 egg
2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Yellow decorator sugar

In large bowl, beat sugar, powdered sugar, butter and oil until light and fluffy. Add lemon peel, lemon juice and egg; blend well. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt; mix well. Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate 1 hour for easier handling.

Heat oven to 350°F. Shape dough into 1 inch balls; roll in decorator sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake for 7 to 12 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from cookie sheets.
