APPLE STRUDEL
1 lb. filo dough
6 oz. raisins
6 apples
1 tbsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. sour cream
2 c. clarified butter

Core, peel and grate apples. Add lemon juice to keep apples from turning brown. Add raisins, cinnamon, sugar and sour cream. Mix thoroughly. Place 1 sheet of filo dough on a large clean towel. Brush with butter. Place another sheet of dough on top of this and brush with butter again. Continue to do this until you have 4 or 5 layers.

Take apple mixture and spread on top, leaving about a 1-inch border all the way around the edge. Next, roll strudel off of towel onto a cookie sheet, just like you would a jelly roll. Make sure seam side is on cookie sheet. Brush all over with butter. Bake in oven at 425 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut into 1-inch slices. Makes 10-12 servings.
