GRANDMA GRACE'S CUSTARD PIE | |
Combine 1 1/2 cups sugar with 2 teaspoon cornstarch and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Add 5 eggs (slightly beaten) and mix well. Add 4 cups milk, stir well. Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle top with nutmeg. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes, reduce heat and continue baking at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. (Custard is set when a cold table knife inserted gently into center of pie comes out clean.) |
