GRANDMA'S SPINACH PIE | |
2 boxes frozen spinach, chopped 1 stick butter Salt to taste 3 eggs, beaten 1/2 pkg. feta cheese, crumbled 8 oz. cottage cheese 1 onion, minced 1 tsp. dill weed 1/2 lb. phyllo dough Cook spinach with as little water as possible and with the butter (less than 1 stick is fine). Mix with eggs, cheeses and onion and dill. Put 1/2 mixture in greased 9"x13" glass dish, cover with several sheets of phyllo buttered with softened spread. Put rest of mixture on this and another layer of phyllo, brush with butter and sprinkle paprika on top. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 10 to 12. |
