CHEWY PEANUT BUTTER STRIPS 
1/3 c. Crisco
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. shredded coconut

Blend Crisco, peanut butter, sugar, salt, eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients (which have been sifted together) to Crisco mixture. Stir in coconut. Spread in 8x12-inch pan which has been rubbed with Crisco. Bake in moderate oven 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cut in strips while warm and sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
