PEANUT BUTTER DREAM BARS
2 c. Quick Quaker oats, uncooked
1 1/2 c. flour, white
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. peanuts, chopped
1 c. butter, melted
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1/3 c. creamy peanut butter
1 c. M & M's, plain

Combine dry ingredients and mix well. Add butter and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs. Take out 1 1/2 cups of crumb mixture and set aside. Press the rest into a greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown. (Don't over bake.) Combine milk and peanut butter in a small bowl and mix until creamy. Pour immediately over the partially baked crust being careful to NOT touch the edges of the jelly roll pan. Allow about 1/4 inch all around the edges. Combine reserved crumb mixture and M & M's and mix well. Sprinkle on top of the milk mixture making sure it is evenly spread out. Bake 15 minutes more until light brown again. Watch carefully, don't over bake. Cool. Cut into bars.

TIP: Kids like these because it uses two of their favorite items: M & M's and peanut butter!
