1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. honey
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 beaten egg
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix thoroughly shortening, honey, brown sugar, peanut butter and egg. Sift all dry ingredients together and stir into peanut butter-honey mixture. Chill dough several hours. Roll into balls and place on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten and criss cross with fork dipped in sugar. Bake until set, 10 to 12 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes 4 to 5 dozen.
