1 1/2 c. shortening (oleo)
2 1/4 c. sugar
9 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1/2 tsp. orange extract
3 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and flavoring and beat. Combine and add dry ingredients. Shape into balls. Dip in topping and bake on greased cookie sheets at 400 degrees.

TOPPING:

3/4 c. sugar
4 1/2 tsp. grated orange and lemon rind
