FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 c. sugar (white)
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. water
1 qt. sliced strawberries
1 box strawberry Jello

Cook sugar, salt, cornstarch, and water in double boiler until thick. Remove from heat and stir in Jello (dry). Let cool; stir in strawberries and place in 2 baked pie shells.

TOPPING:

1 (4 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 (4 1/2 oz.) container Cool Whip
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. white sugar

Beat with mixer until stiff and put on pie.
