CRANBERRY PUDDING 
3 tbsp. butter
2 c. whole cranberries, fresh
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
3 tsp. baking powder

SAUCE:

1/2 c. butter, browned
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. cream

Mix together and pour into 9 x 9 inch cake pan. (Make 1 1/2 recipes for 11 x 13 inch pan.) Cut pudding cake into squares and serve on dessert plates. Bring sauce to boil for 1 or 2 minutes, stirring. Pour over pudding squares.
