BAKED PORK CHOPS AND APPLES 
2 or 4 thick pork chops
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. water
1 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 c. seedless raisins
3 or 4 apples

Brown chops in frying pan in oil over medium heat. Remove to shallow baking dish, sprinkle chops with salt and pepper. Stir flour into fat in frying pan, add water, vinegar, sugar and raisins. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens and boils. Core apples and cut in slices as for pie. Arrange on top of chops. Pour sauce over apples and chops.

Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes or until chops are tender.

Baste once or twice.
