4 slices French bread
1 lb. Italian sausage
1 c. grated cheddar cheese
6 eggs
2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
Pepper as desired
Green chili slices or jalapeno slices, if desired

1. Toast bread lightly and cube. Place in a lightly greased baking dish.

2. Brown and drain sausage, cut in thin slices.

3. Spread sausage on top of bread.

4. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and jalapeno slices.

5. Beat together eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Pour over mixture of bread, sausage and cheese/jalapeno.

6. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 35-40 minutes. The cheese will rise to the top during baking.
