PORK FRIED RICE A LA FRUGAL
GOURMET
 
Cook 1 cup white or brown rice.

Marinate 1/2 pound of pork cut in strips in white wine and small amount soy sauce.

Julienne 1/2 pound ham.

Can add a small Portuguese sausage or a similar but not necessary.

Cut 2 stalks celery on angle.

Cut 4 or 5 leaves of bok choy or Chinese cabbage on angle.

8 to 10 ounces fresh mushrooms or dried black mushrooms soaked Julienne 1 carrot.

Slice 1 onion.

1/2 pkg. frozen peas.

1 can bean sprouts.

Cook 1 egg in wok or fry pan pancake size then break up. Take out.

Cook marinated pork in peanut oil, add other meats. Remove.

In peanut oil, add garlic and vegetables cooking celery, carrots and onions first. Remove.

Cook rice in peanut oil then add vegetables, meat, egg and heat through.

Add 1 can bean sprouts, dash salt, dash soy sauce to taste, pinch sugar and splash some sesame oil over all.
