PECAN PIE BARS 
Crust:

2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. cold butter, cut in pieces
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Filling:

2 1/2 c. pecans (halves or chopped)
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. Karo syrup (light or dark)
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. butter, melted
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Blend crust ingredients into fine crumbs and firmly press into a sprayed 15 x 10-inch baking pan.

Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes.

Make filling by beating together all ingredients, but nuts, until blended. Stir in nuts and pour over hot crust, spreading evenly.

Bake at same temperature for 25 minutes or until the filling is firm around the edges and slightly firm in the center. Cool and cut into bars to serve.
