PUFF-TOPPED SWEET POTATOES | |
1 pkg. lemon sauce 2 (1 lb. 10 oz.) cans sweet potatoes, drained and sliced 1 apple, cored 1 pkg. fluffy white frosting mix 1/2 c. chopped nuts Prepare lemon sauce as directed on package, reducing water to 3/4 cup. (You may want to make your own sauce.) Spread sweet potatoes over bottom of flat 3-quart baking dish. Slice apple over potatoes. Pour lemon sauce over top and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Prepare frosting mix as directed on package; fold in nuts. Remove sweet potatoes from oven. Increase oven temperature to 450 degrees. Spoon dollops of frosting over top of sweet potatoes. Bake at 450 degrees for 5 minutes. |
