CHRISTMAS COOKIES 
1 lb. pineapple, crystallized
1 lb. cherries, crystallized
1 lb. white raisins
1 lb. dates
6 c. nuts
1 stick butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
3 1/2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. Sherry (or whiskey) (add last)

Chop pineapple, cherries, dates and raisins night before and soak in 1 cup cooking sherry overnight. Mix in other ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 25 minutes. Makes 12 to 17 dozen. (one half ingredients makes 6 to 9 dozen).
