BAKED CRAB APPLE PICKLES 
5 lbs. cran apples
3 3/4 lbs. sugar
Cinnamon sticks

Wash and remove blossom of apples. Place layer of apples and a few broken pieces of cinnamon. Repeat with sugar and cinnamon between layers. Add 1 quart vinegar; cover and bake for 2 hours in slow oven. Don't disturb. When cool juice will cover fruit.
