4 eggs
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
Dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour

Grease tube pan. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat butter (room temperature) then blend in sugar and eggs. Add next 2 to flour, blend in vanilla, add milk at last. Bake at 375 degrees check at 45 minutes.
